A cabin in the round, on the water
The yurt is our newest way to stay, and the only one open all year. It sits on a raised wood deck with a solid, lockable door, and inside it feels like a cabin in the round — real beds, a wood stove, a fan, and electricity. When the teepees close for the season and the snow settles in, the yurt is still here: warm, quiet, and steps from the river. For anyone easing into glamping, it's a little more shelter without giving up the setting.

Winter on the river
A rare winter stay on the Middle Fork
Garden Valley gets real snow, and the river empties out — which is exactly the appeal. With the wood stove keeping the yurt warm and the Payette running quiet, you can have this stretch of water nearly to yourself. Days are for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and a soak in a nearby hot spring; nights are for the stove, the stars, and the sound of the river. A heated yurt near Boise, open all winter.
